Evaluation Encoder Options

Support for Evaluation Encoder Options has been added.

This new feature allows configuration of the following parameters:

• Protocol
• Resolution
• BIT (Built-In Test)
• Software Multi-Turn

When the encoder catalog number contains the string “EVL”, a new menu item titled Evaluation Encoder Options will be available under the Tool menu.

1. Updated Web Links
   Corrected outdated web links that were previously pointing to the old Netzer website.
2. Encoder Recognition Enhancements
   Improved handling of cases where the encoder is not recognized:

• “New Model” Case
  A relevant message will now be displayed.
  Calibration will be blocked to prevent misconfiguration.
• “Possible Connection Problem” Case
  A message prompting the user to “Check cabling or connectors” will be displayed.
  Calibration will be blocked in this scenario as well.

3. Default Amplitude Limits Enforcement
In both of the above cases, and unlike previous software versions, calibration is no longer permitted when these issues are detected. This ensures proper handling and protects against incorrect calibration attempts.

Parameter adjustments for the VLX-100 / VLP-100 / XLT-100 / VLS-100 product families will enable a customer installation tolerance of ±0.2 mm, provided that Auto-Calibration is used.
