NETZERS’ New VLM-60 Multi-turn Encoder
The VLM-60 miniature hollow shaft multi-turn encoder is an extremely low profile, absolute rotary encoder ideal for multi-axis applications where space is limited. This type of multi-turn encoder is often used in industrial automation robotics as well as production line multi-axis machinery, manufacturing process machinery, and various servo motors that require accuracy and reliability.
Ensuring smooth and continuous production via its 17-bit single plus 15-bit multi-turn resolution, the master reads the precise multi-turn position from the encoder during the start-up and throughout the operation. By incorporating an internal battery, or a connection to an external power source, the VLM-60 maintains the multi-turn absolute position in the event of a power failure or machinery shutdown.
