These encoders are lightweight, with a hollow floating shaft, and built with no bearing or other contacts. They have a high tolerance to extreme temperature, shock, vibration, EMI, RFI, and magnetic field. Netzer’s DS-25 and DS-37 models have a low profile of 7mm, while the DS-58, DS-70, DS-90, and DS-130 models have a low profile of 10mm. 

All models in the low profile rotary encoder range are mounting tolerant, with most allowing for a ±0.1mm mounting eccentricity and ±0.1mm rotor axial motion.

 With low weight and inertia, they support dynamic system performance in sensitive installations. The DS-25 and DS-37 models operate at speeds up to 35 rpm, while the DS-58 and DS-70 models can reach up to 750 rpm, offering flexibility across a wide range of performance requirements.
