What is an Absolute Sensor
An absolute sensor is often mistaken as the same thing as a gauge sensor. If your project requires a rotary encoder sensor, you must be certain which correct angle measurement tool you need. This is especially true in cases where you require a low range device.
An absolute sensor is different from a gauge sensors as they are two different devices.
The Absolute Sensor
The absolute rotary encoder sensor uses absolute zero as its reference position. Absolute position is measured precisely and accurately regardless of changes in process temperature. It can be applied to various industries and instruments
Basically an absolute sensor is designed for testing against a consistent base line or absolute sensory threshold. If you need to measure angular position that is not affected by any change in temperature, you will need an absolute sensor.
